How Aligned teaches
Aligned Yoga was founded by Briohny Smyth — known online as Bri, and to her students as the teacher behind the "Aligned Method", an alignment-led, physical vinyasa style. Her own about page describes "over 15 years of experience building teacher trainings, online content, festivals and retreats", and she has been leading trainings in Thailand since 2012. The school is registered with Yoga Alliance and runs on one principle it states plainly: start from where you are. Every programme is self-paced, carries a full year of access, and comes with direct feedback from Bri — scheduled calls, WhatsApp support, and answers under every lecture.
The Aligned Method
Bri's signature alignment-led vinyasa. Her own description: a curriculum that helps you "develop yourself as a practitioner and evolve from creating shapes to customizing your practice for your body, safely."
Self-paced, with a real teacher attached
Every programme is self-paced with no fixed start date, and every one carries a full year of access — plus scheduled 1:1 calls with Bri, WhatsApp feedback, and unlimited questions answered under each lecture.
Yoga Alliance registered
Aligned Yoga states it is a registered school with Yoga Alliance. Completing a training makes you eligible for the school's own certification, which can be applied toward Yoga Alliance registration.
2-for-1 in-person model
The Thailand trainings pair the full online curriculum with 9 training days plus 1 rest day at Amatara, Phuket. 200HR and 300HR students train together in group sessions and separately in level-specific ones.
Practice, not just study
Beyond the trainings, the Yoga with Briohny library publishes themed series of 7 classes each — Vinyasa Flows, Yoga Sweat, Core Ignition, Morning Energy & Evening Wind Down — filmed at home, 15 to 45 minutes.
